Overview

Run Lap Tap is developed and operated by ConnectedPE Pty Ltd (ABN pending), an Australian company. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information in relation to the Run Lap Tap app for iOS.

In short: we do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Your data stays on your devices and in your personal iCloud account.

Data We Do Not Collect

Run Lap Tap does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

  • Personal information (names, email addresses, phone numbers)
  • Runner names, times, results, or event data
  • Location or GPS data
  • Usage analytics or behavioural tracking
  • Device identifiers or advertising IDs
  • Photos, contacts, or other device data

Where Your Data Lives

All event data, runner information, rosters, and results are stored locally on your device and — if you have iCloud enabled — synced to your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This sync is managed entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud data.

Camera and NFC

Run Lap Tap may request access to your device's camera (for QR code scanning) and NFC reader (for NFC wristband scanning). These features are used solely for identifying runners during events. No images or scan data are stored, transmitted, or shared. Camera and NFC access is only used in real-time during active events.

Purchases and Payments

All purchases (Pro subscription and Race Pass) are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, process, or have access to any payment information, credit card details, or billing data. Purchase management, refunds, and subscription cancellations are handled through your Apple ID account.

Third-Party Services

Run Lap Tap uses the following third-party services:

  • Apple CloudKit / iCloud — for syncing your data across your own devices. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat — for managing in-app purchase entitlements. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID to validate your purchase status. No personal information is shared. Subject to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Children's Privacy

Run Lap Tap does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store. When used in educational settings, runner names and data are entered by the teacher or coach and remain on their device and personal iCloud account.

Data Export

Run Lap Tap allows you to export event data to CSV files and PDF reports. These exports are generated locally on your device. How you share or store these exported files is your responsibility.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. As we do not collect contact information, we are unable to notify you directly of changes.
